Jeremy Davies-Barbala
Az Creative Director
Starting his career in hairdressing at the age of 15, Jeremy Davies-Barbala has over 25 years of experience in the hair industry. His vast background includes being the Senior Creative Director for Vidal Sassoon, heading up product development and their academies and flagship stores in London and Los Angeles, as well as holding the role of International Creative Director for a leading product brand. He also had the honor of running the Sassoon staff training program, teaching haircutting alongside hair legend Annie Humphries.
Jeremy has created looks for the likes of iconic mod fashion designer Mary Quant, Hollywood cult actress Rose McGowan and the late fashion legend Isabella Blow, Alexander McQueen muse and fashion director of Tatler magazine. As one of the leading educators within the hair industry, he has shared his knowledge with hairdressers and students all over the world and has earned a reputation within the business for his innovative vision and cutting technique.
Rodger Azadgnian
Az Founder and CEO
With over 30 years of experience in the hair industry as a stylist, platform artist, and salon owner, he trained and got his start with former Vidal Sassoon artistic team director, Scott Cole. Rodger has been Featured in Allure, InStyle, Lucky, Elle, and W, among others. He has worked hand-in-hand on fashion shows with designers Dolce Gabbana, Michael Kors, Donna Karan, Catherine Malandrino, Richard Tyler, Escada, YSL, Chanel, Badgley Mischka, just to name a few. His lists of clients have included Linda Evangelista, Ester, Melinda Gates, Kate Spade, Catherine Malandrino and Tom Skerritt among others.
Rodger is known for his revolutionary cutting style, aiming to individualize hairstyles after studying the bone structure, skin tone and eye color of each client. He is recognized for rejecting industry trends in hair design that are not suited for his clients’ unique facial features.
