What inspired you to open your own salon and school?
Entrepreneurship runs in our families, so it felt natural that from the very beginning of Brooke’s career, we shared the dream of owning a salon. A few years later, in 2008, that vision expanded when we purchased a struggling cosmetology school with the goal of revitalizing it. In addition to our work in the beauty industry, we’ve also proudly owned and operated a laundry business for over 20 years.
What is the most rewarding experience you have as a salon owner?
One of the most rewarding parts of being a salon owner is watching our team members thrive. Because we exclusively hire graduates from cosmetology schools, we’ve had the unique privilege of following their journeys from the very start — some growing with us for over 15 years.
We’re deeply rooted in our community and take pride in giving back. From supporting local nonprofits and school teams to actively participating in community events, being involved is one of the most fulfilling parts of what we do. Through Amber’s Beauty School, we also offer free haircuts to individuals at our local homeless shelter, providing a small act of care that can make a big difference and encourages our students to give back.
